Improving Multimedia Projects 101

Mindy McAdams posted a link on Twitter yesterday listing 10 ways journalists can improve their multimedia creations. The list was originally posted on Mediastorm.org, a blog that focuses on telling stories across different platforms. Check out the homepage of the Web site…it’s incredible!

1. Don’t use dissolve between images

2. Avoid excessive pans

3. Give images time to breath

4. Show an identifying photo or video of evenyone who talks when they speak for the first time

5. Use image sequences to transition between themes in the story…

Basically, it’s a comprehensive list of what we’ve been learing in class so far. Take a look at the list…what else would you include?
